Welcome to the NAS Whiting Field Student Officer Spouse's Association (SOSA)!

SOSA is a multi-service organization that provides support through social events for the spouses and significant others of student officers.  We come together on a regular basis for fun, camaraderie and companionship.  SOSA strives to help our members transition into a new community by offering support, advice, information, and friendship. 

Our diverse membership includes spouses, fiancés, girlfriends, and boyfriends. Flight training is a stressful time regardless of where your student is in the flight program (Waiting pool to Advanced). No matter the duration of your stay, we are here to support you.  

Our monthly meeting and other activities are great opportunities to get together.  We offer a variety of activities including, Kid and Dog Playgroups, Lunch Bunch, Book Club, Bunco, and much more.  

The monthly meeting is an excellent occasion to meet other spouses and get more information about life in the Military Community.  Meetings are held on the third Monday of every month at the Whiting Pines Community Center. We discuss different topics at each meeting, but some of the favorites include Hurricane Preparedness, Q&A with IP (instructor pilot) Spouses, Finances and PCSing.  

We are always looking for fresh ideas and new members. Come make new friends, or connect with old ones, while we share this experience.
